What is the difference between lawn bowls and crown green bowls?
Lawn bowls, also called flat green bowls, are played on a level green and come in sets of four; Drakes Pride lawn bowls run from size 0000 to 4. Crown green bowls are played on a green that rises to a crown in the middle; they are chosen by weight, from 2lb to 2lb 12oz, and the crown green jack has a bias too.
Which Drakes Pride lawn bowls should I choose?
The Professional is the mid bias all-rounder used by many top players, indoors and out. The Pro-50 is the same bowl with a deep Channel Grip. The XP adds a touch more bias for the outdoor game, and the d-tec has more bias strength on the inside and a smooth finish for indoor play. All come in sets of four with the World Bowls date stamp.
Do you have bowls shoes for wide feet?
Yes. The Drakes Pride Renegade has an extremely wide fit with a flyknit upper, and the R-V is the same wide fit with a Velcro fastening instead of laces, so it is easy to get on and off.
