Winterbottom's: 5 for the price of 4

Put any five eligible Winterbottom items in your basket and the lowest-priced one is free. There is no code to enter: the saving appears in your basket on its own. This page explains exactly how it is worked out, and what happens if you send something back.

Which items count

Every product on our Winterbottom page is eligible, and each one carries a 5 FOR THE PRICE OF 4 badge on its photo. Anything else in your basket is not affected by this offer and does not count towards it.

Mix and match as you like

The five items do not have to match. Combine shirts, blouses, trousers and shorts, in any sizes and colours, for one child or for several. Five of the very same item counts too: each one you add is one more towards the five.

How the saving is worked out

When your basket holds five eligible items, we take off the price of the lowest-priced one of them. If two of your items share the lowest price, one of them is free. The saving is based on the prices shown in your basket.

All five items need to be in the same basket and paid for in the same order. Items bought in separate orders cannot be added together.

Buying more than five

The offer repeats for every full set of five. Your free items are always the lowest-priced eligible items in the whole basket.

One offer at a time

This offer cannot be used together with a discount code. If your basket earns a free item and you also enter a code, only one of the two will apply to your order.

Sending items back

Your usual rights and our normal delivery and returns arrangements apply, including 14 days to change your mind. Because the offer depends on how many items you keep, a return from an offer order is worked out like this:

If you send everything back, you get back everything you paid for those items.

If you keep some items, we look at what the items you are keeping would have cost if you had bought just those, with the offer applied to them, and refund you the difference between that and what you paid. In practice that means the offer is simply worked out again on what you keep.

A few examples, using a basket of five: a £24 shirt, a £25 blouse, £27 trousers, £16 trousers and £13 shorts. That is £105, the £13 shorts are free, and you pay £92.

• You return the £27 trousers. The four items you keep cost £78 without the offer, because four items do not make five. You paid £92, so your refund is £14.
• You return the £13 shorts, which were free. The four items you keep cost the £92 you paid, so there is no refund due.
• You had bought six, including a second pair of £16 trousers, and you return the £27 trousers. You still keep five, so the offer still applies to them, and you get the full £27 back.
• You had bought ten, two of each, and paid £184 with both pairs of shorts free. You return one £25 blouse. Nine items earn one free item rather than two, so one pair of shorts is now charged, and your refund is £25 less £13, which is £12.

If something is faulty or we sent the wrong item, we do not work the offer out again. We will replace it, or refund what that item cost you, and everything you keep stays at its offer price.

Swapping a size or style. We do not exchange items by post. Return the item under our returns arrangements and place a new order for the one you want. The offer is applied to the new order on its own, and the refund for the return is worked out as above.
