Every Forest Gate tie is bottle green with the FGCS logo woven in near the top. What changes is the single wide band running across the upper third: yellow for Year 7, green for Year 8, red for Year 9, grey for Year 10 and blue for Year 11. The rest of the tie is plain green.

Probably yes. The Year 8 band is green on a green ground, so it is much less obvious than the other four. Hold it to the light and the brighter green band shows.
Which year do I order for?
The year they are going into in September, not the one just finished.
Is the whole tie striped?
No. There is one wide band across the upper third and the rest is plain bottle green.
Do I need a new one each year?
Yes, the band colour changes with the year group.
